Thanks for the recipes, I will be trying these soon. I am a beekeeper along with my husband, I don't rob my bees of everything like some do, I don't supplement their food, we really try to keep them organic, but I do get excess wax that I have now started researching what things to make with it. I have also grown herbs for years for cooking purposes but i have now expanding my herb garden for medicinal purposes. We eat lots of honey and so combining the honey with herbs is an awesome idea. I will be trying some of your other recipes for salves and things as well. I still have alot of research to do for the things I want to do, but i'm off to a great start. I am in the process of tweaking my own formula for lip balm, it's getting there, but I already have alot of requests for it. I have also helped a friend using an aloe recipe this past week. I am loving this natural thing and having my husband support this quest is awesome. I have made stuff for him as well. So wish me luck on my journey with my bees and herbs and all the wonderful things I will be making. Take care, Tricia

Hi Lucinda,
I dried some rose petals and tried the double boiler method and i am wondering if the infused oil should have a strong smell.?It seems to me that it just has a wiff of rose in the background,,,Do you think this is ok or should it have a stronger scent?
Thank you,

Hi Lucinda
This is my first time on the site, interesting and educational article - what an amazing herb. I have uterine fibroids and have been doing some reserach on which herbs to take to reduce the amount of blood loss. Yarrow has cropped up a few times and I have just bought some Yarrow teabags. However, I am concerned that yarrow can both increase or decrease the amount of blood loss. Am I correcting in understanding that herbs are in tune with your body and do whatever is needed? I really can't afford to lose any more blood!!
Also do you have any other suggestions of what I could take?

Thanks - Rachel
