The world outside truly is a wonderland at present.
These photos were taken this evening just as the light was starting to fade which gives them their blue tinge.
Do excuse my lack of herbal posts this week, I’m so excited by this wintery beauty that I had to share some more pictures!
I’ll aim to write something more informative in the next few days. 🙂
Hi Lucinda,
you no the saying ‘a picture speaks more then thousand words’
Your magnificent pictures surely do!!!!!!
I love to look at them and feel some ‘cool’ in this awful hot days *g
Like you have an early winter we do have an early and very hot summer in New Zealand.
Thank you for sharing the folk wisdom of the sloe in the previous post. It sure shows truth…
Also loved your snowball throwing *g

Thanks Brigitte, I’ve just been looking at your summer flower photos, it does look gloriously sunny there! It’s nice that we can look at each others pictures when we need warming up or cooling down “)

Stunning hoar frost photos Lucinda, just beautiful! The snow is falling here as I type, I can’t believe how bright it looks outside at midnight. Looking forward to going for a walk tomorrow in the snow, it’s been so long since we’ve had this much snow, reminds me of my childhood. Hopefully I’ll be able to share some snow photos from my neck of the woods in the next few days.
Warm winter herbal hugs to you and yours – Debs xxx

Hi Debs, I know just what you mean, I don’t remember such beautiful, powdery thick snow since childhood. Except then it was up to my waist not just my wellies!
All the snow has gone here after torrential rain all day yesterday. I’m sure we’ll have some more before the winter is out though.
Will very much look forward to seeing your pics.
lots of ginger and rosemary flavoured hugs. “)

Your pictures are stunning. They remind me of home (Norway). I currently live in California, and even though it’s beautiful here with all the flowers and sunlight, I still miss the snow and cold right now.
Last year when I visited Norway I spent as much time as I could outside in the snow. I listened to the silence around me and perceived how beautiful everything was. Sigh!

How lovely, I can imagine you’d miss it, even with all the sunny beauty of California.
I visited Norway once and thought it was so beautiful, I’d love to go again.
Take care x

Another fantastic set of wintry photos. Love it! We finally got a bit of snow last night, and I thought of your description on my walk of things looking like an animation not fully colored in. So true! I hope you get some more snow so that you will take more fabulous pictures and I can see more of the magical English landscape you live in 🙂 And, of course, so you can drink ginger tea and play.
