Here you will find a collection of the herbal profiles I have written. It is constantly being added to so do check back to see what is new.
If you have a particular interest in a herb then please also check the categories menu on the right hand side of the page as I have not included the many herbal recipes, reflections and other related posts in this list.

Ooo how exciting, I shall get my thinking cap on!
What is the deadline for entries?
A lovely idea for an anthology, I’m sure it will be beautiful. x

Hooray! you have a lovely narrative style and your articles are very thorough.
I would like submissions in by the end of October to be published in late spring 2013. should be enough time for folks, plus this is a maternity leave project for me so it can be lovely and leisurely on my part too : )
The format has not yet been decided between a limited edition hardback or a series of four volumes published over the year, one each season. The idea is that they are collectable…keepsakes
Materials that are chosen for inclusion will be subject to editing if necessary but this will always be discussed with the author. I am researching copyright at the moment so will let you know
I will be encouraging folks to buy some to sell via their events and websites, friends and family, the wider the distribution the better. Plus I will be marketing them out for reviews.
You can submit more than one piece for consideration/inclusion. And if you know of or run a herbal project please nominate it.
Any questions, contact me and I might have the answer!
thanks for being involved

Is it mallow or marshmallow that you have? They are both soothing and moistening, nice for dry coughs and irritated mucus membranes. An essence would be lovely I am sure!

Hello,
I live in California. I have tried every possible remedy western and natural I can find to help with my migraines and various other head to toe ailments. Right now I’d like to function as a person and be able to care for my 3 young children all toddlers and 1 baby. I rarely leave my house and miss out on so much. I’m throwing in the towel. I want to live and enjoy them. Since pregnancy they have become worst and worst each child. After the 3rd they decided to remove my uterus thinking it was hormones and period related so periods stopped but migraines remain. I’m lucky if I can walk my home or brush my kids hair or shower 1 time weekly. And on those days I’m just exhausted. I somehow by accident found your website. If there is any help u have or recommend pls tell me. I will try anything at this point. All I want it to feel better. Ty so much.

Hi Kris,
I’m so sorry to hear things are so difficult at the moment. Looking after young children is challenging enough without added health complications. I would really strongly urge you to find a herbalist in your area. There can be so many causes of migraines, from liver congestion, to hormone imbalance, to eye strain or muscular tension in the neck and back. I would need to know so much more about your medical history, your diet, how your pregnancies and births were, what exact symptoms you are experiencing and other things before I could recommend herbs to help. This is a link to the American Herbalists Guild website. Here you can put in your location and it will tell you if there are any herbalists nearby.

In the meantime you could try drinking a tea of feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) which is a traditional remedy for migraines but you really need to address the root cause to make a full recovery.
Wishing you very best of healing wishes.
