New notebooks in my Etsy shop! One more winter hawthorn before I fully embrace the Spring! The primroses have just started to bloom again, a sure sign of spring.Just finished putting a subtle wash of colour onto this fineliner illustration of a winter hawthorn tree.I enjoy this moment in the year when I feel like we are balanced on the edge of two seasons. Everywhere are signs of spring but the full greening hasn't started yet. February is very much a in-between month here in the South, some days feeling cold and wintery and some days distinctly spring like.I recently finished this little acorn and oak leaf study that I started in autumn and didn't get round to completing.I've added a selection of greeting cards and notecards to my Etsy shop. I hope you like them! (Link is in bio.)I'm dreaming of spring! This watercolour spring mandala shows the new leaves of hawthorn, oak and birch, along with orange tip, brimstone, small copper and Holly blue butterflies and a chaffinch nest with eggs.Happy Imbolc to one and all. ✨🌱🕯️
